The beginning

Introduction

My overall writing experience for this class has been phenomenal. Now I wouldn’t want to say that I can go publish my own book now, but my writing has improved. I took the chance to look over my first reading assignments for this class and compared it to my final writing assignment for this class. I noticed that not only did the structure of my I says in general change, but the tone, language, and everything else changed along with it. I now feel as if I’m able to speak my thoughts out in an organized, mannered way.

Course learning objectives

When it comes to the course learning objectives, I will talk about the second bullet point which is developing strategies for reading, drafting, collaborating, revising, and editing. I will also talk about how I engage in the collaborative and social aspects of the writing process. My last and final point will be how I recognize and practice key rhetorical terms and strategies when engaged in writing situations. Now the second bullet point is the most significant thing that has changed in my writing. Before, I would have never thought of writing a draft of my final essay. To be honest with you, I would usually do my essays in maybe two hours, then submit it. I would not even proofread what I wrote. At the end of the Inquiry based essay on my page, all the way at the bottom, it shows the assignments that I had to complete before handing in my final draft. These assignments have helped me out in so many ways. I was able to gather my thoughts, I was able to understand what the true point of the essay that I was trying to write was. And I was able to combine these two and make sure that I was able to do anything in a very organized manner. For the 4th bullet and point, the social aspect of my writing process has now become very important period I prefer to write during nighttime, in a very closed and quiet environment. Also, I prefer to be listening to music when I am writing. It also allows me to gather my thoughts together and allows me mainly to allow me to focus. I also like to light up a candle next to me whenever I am doing work, as I feel like it gives me an acknowledgement of the work that I am doing. Finally, for the third bullet point, this has been a crucial example of what I now do in my writing. Following the seven terms of rhetorical terms, I’m able to have some sort of structure towards my essays. In all my essays, you can see that I clearly focus on these seven terms, and I based my essay around these seven terms. For example, the source-based essay is broken up into these different terms. Audience and tone, purpose, and genre, medium and stance, and finally time frame a cultural expectation.

Orientation

As for the layout of my website, it is extremely simple. This page that you’re on is the introduction to this website. There are three tabs next to this, each one is named after my essay. All the way at the bottom of my inquiry based essay is the writing assignments that I had to do before completing the final draft of the essay.

Improvement

The one thing that I always think that I can improve in my style of writing, is my analysis. Sometimes I can follow all the guidelines to an essay, and make sure I give all the evidence needed, but when it comes to analyzing what I wrote about, I don’t do that well of a job. I also feel like this is something that you can always improve on, and you can always get better on.

Without further ado, welcome to my website!
